Samsung’s Akhil Sethi Joins Panasonic as Digital Marketing Head

Akhil Sethi has joined Panasonic India as its head of marketing. He was previously working with Samsung as lead in the social media optimization and governance department.

Akhil has worked with Samsung and Vivo in the past

Before joining Panasonic’s India team, Akhil Sethi was associated with Samsung India for an year and three months. He was leading the social media optimization and governance team at Samsung. It is also to be noted here that Akhil had joined Samsung in September 2018 as campaign lead for company’s flagship smartphones.

Akhil was promoted to lead Samsung’s social media optimisation and governance team this year in July. He was in this role for three months before calling it quits and joining Panasonic India.

Experience with Vivo

Akhil before joining Samsung in September 2019, was working with Vivo Smartphones here. He was leading Vivo’s media, website and strategy team. Akhil had joined Vivo in January 2017 and worked with the company for an year and eight months till August 2018.

Started social media campaigns in 2009

Akhil has more than 10 years of social media experience. He had started working as an intern with Bharti Airtel Limied in February 2009. Companies that he manges social media for also include Max New York Life and Vatika Group real estate.

He has also worked with Isobar and Omoco in the same vertical. Akhil was leading Omoco’s digital marketing team and was associated with Isobar as its media group head.
