Vishal Kaul has joined Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals as vice president and PL head. His work portfolio at Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals will revolve around company’s lightning business.

In his previous role with Samsung Electronics, he was managing company’s smartphones and tablets vertical as category head. His Linkedin profile states that he was responsible for maintaining Samsung’s dominant market share and leading the category of highest selling smartphones in India.

Worked with Samsung, Nokia and Thermax in the past

Apart from working with Samsung for more than seven years, Kaul has also been associated with Nokia for seven years and five months. He started working with Nokia in April 2005 as a regional sales manager. His work portfolio in the capacity of a regional sales manager included leading the regional sales team comprising of sales officers, national distributor teams and re-distributors to achieve revenue of $85 million.

He was then promoted to the capacity of regional manager, North, Nokia smartphones. His Linkedin profile stated that he was a part of the team created market for smartphones in North India. His team also ensured experience at retail and drove the next level of growth for Nokia. Overall, his team clocked a revenue of $ 135 million and grew the market faster than other regions for Nokia.

Kaul was also associated with Nokia as a product marketing manager and global GTM program manager. Kaul had started his career in sales with Thermax in August 1999. He holds a bachelors in engineering and has also done post graduate program in strategic marketing
