Essential’s next mobile product
There is no clarification on how long the company will take to introduce a new smartphone in the market. But the quote that “We are now hard at work on our next mobile product” clarifies that there is definitely going to be a mobile product offered by the company soon.
Essential will continue to offer support to existing Essential Phone users and will also continue to sell accessories in the market. The phone will also continue to receive timely updates as claimed in the report.
Essential Phones journey
The smartphone, touted as one designed and developed by android creator Andy Rubin, could not generate as much consumer interest as the company would have wanted to. Essential Phone had debuted in 2017 first and was termed ahead of its competitors during the launch event. However, the company struggled to establish a consumer base initially and had to lower down its prices.
It is to be noted here that Essential Phone was notably the first smartphone to sport a camera in the front notch on the screen. The brand had brought down the price from initial $699 to $499 within the first two months of the launch.
