Astrum, a consumer electronics brand, may have signed up Taapsee Pannu as its brand ambassador for India. A recent tweet made through Astrum’s official Twitter handle shows Astrum team meeting the Bollywood actress and gifting her Astrum products.
This tweet by Astrum read, “Astrum meets famous Indian movie heroine Taapsee Pannu and our products becomes her hero instantly. Astrum wishes all the best to Taapsee for her new movie gameover.”

The season of promotions
Astrum’s Twitter handle also tagged Ashwin Sarvanan, Anurag Kashyap in the tweet. Interestingly, Taapsee Pannu has a Twitter following of about 3.78 million accounts. Movies director Anurag Kashyap, is followed by close to half a million accounts on Twitter whereas story writer Ashwin Saravanan is followed by close to 9,000 accounts on Twitter. It is to be noted here that Astrum’s official Twitter handle is followed by close to 600 people in India.
Toreto, another consumer electronics brand had also recently announced its collaboration with Rannvijay Singh as brand ambassador. Similarly, many other brands have tied up with Bollywood personalities in 2019. Fujifilm, has also signed Alia Bhatt and Daboo Ratnani as brand ambassadors in India.
Astrum is working on a new production facility
Astrum has been working on a new production facility in India from Februray 2019. The company had signed a MoU with Andhra Pradesh state government last year. The company as per this MoU has agreed to invest Rs 100 crores (1000 Million) in Andhra Pradesh.
Manoj Kumar Pansari, CMD, Astrum had said, “This is indeed a big milestone for us. The choice of Andhra Pradesh as the destination for the new manufacturing unit is due to the state’s ease of doing business and growing focus on ‘Make in India’. We are happy to have laid the ground for the Astrum manufacturing plant here in Tirupati. This facility will also help us in expanding our manufacturing capabilities while increasing our reach in the Southern India.”
