Reliance to Launch JioPhone Lite Soon for Rs 399: Report

According to a report by 91Mobiles, Reliance is working on a phone called JioPhone Lite. As per the report, the phone will not have any smart features. It will be a mobile phone capable of making calls. It will not have internet connectivity and no apps. According to the report, the phone will be priced at Rs 399. This price range is aimed at consumers who cannot spend much on the phone but need a phone for calling purposes.

Alphanumeric T9 keypad

As per the report, the phone will have a small display and alphanumeric T9 keypad. The report also said that there is no mention of a phone camera or FM radio in this phone.

The report also said that Reliance is expected to offer affordable prepaid plans for the JioPhone Lite. The company can provide plans worth Rs 50 that can offer a validity of 28 days. Jio to Jio calls will be free but calls to other networks will be charged. The report said that users can also expect 100 free SMSes as another offer from the company.

Recently, Detel had launched D1 Guru, D1 Champ, D1 Star, and D1 Max features phones in India. The company is retailing these feature phones using its own website, Flipkart, Amazon and Paytm Mall.
