Enhance low-light smartphone images
It mentioned that Spectral Edge’s algorithm can enhance low-light smartphone images which could improve Night Mode in iPhones. The startup raised $5.3 million in a funding round last year.
The startup focuses on developing real-world apps for smartphones, webcams and security applications alongside its existing products for the TV and display industries. Spectral Edge has said its technology can be applied via software or chips.
As per a report by Fortune, Spectral Edge uses a type of Artificial Intelligence (AI) called machine learning to make smartphone pictures crisper, with more accurate colors. Its technology takes an infrared shot and blends it with a standard photo to improve the image.
