Samsung has come out with offers crafted for Gurpurab and upcoming wedding season in India. The company, as a part of these offers will be offering free Amazon Echo Dot devices on purchases of select TV models.
“For the upcoming wedding season, Samsung is offering bundled ‘Vivah Utsav’ deals on its consumer durables – TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, smart ovens and air conditioners – ranging from Rs 34,990 to Rs 1,49,900. With these bundled offers, consumers can avail easy finance offers such as zero down payment and easy EMIs,” informed Samsung via an official statement.

While majority of consumer electronics sales take place during the Diwali period in India, this industry enjoys extended festive season as Diwali is usually followed by Gurpurab, wedding season and Christmas. It is to be noted here that the likes of Xiaomi and Realme had sold 12.5 million plus and 5.2 million plus devices during one month period this Diwali.
Similarly, seceral new brands informed that they were able to generate revenues upwards of Rs 50 million in a months time courtesy Diwali Sales. “We started a year ago with smart accessories retail business in India. Recently, we forayed into smart wearables as well. The break even point for us came this festive season as we were able to generate revenues of Rs five crores during October,” shared Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, CEO, Gizmore in an exclsuive conversation with EFY Group.
Xiaomi’s global VP, Manu Kumar Jain, in a recent tweet had mentioned that Xiaomi was able to sell 8.5 million+ smartphones, 3.5 million+ ecosystem devices, and more than six lakh TVs during Diwali period. Interestingly, a recent report by Channelplay had pointed out towards Xiaomi as a bigger brand than Samsung, in terms of exclusive single brand retail showrooms in the offline channel.
Samsung’s offers for Gurpurab and wedding season
The company, in order to celebrate the 550th Prakash Purav of Guru Nanak Devji, will be offering assured gifts such as Galaxy S10 smartphone worth Rs 61,900, Amazon Echo Dot worth Rs 4,999 and Home Theater worth up to Rs 21,900, till 30 November 2019. Samsung said these offers are valid on purchases of select TV models.

He was sharing results of Samsung’s performance during the Diwali month in India.
