Honeywell speakers are now facing the likes of Yamaha, Presonus and JBL in the country
Honeywell has announced its entry into the professional audio industry with a new range of speakers. Dubbed Honeywell ProSound, the company has launched Prozeta, Proalpha and Prozoe range of professional audio speakers.
Jasmeet Bhatia, strategy and marketing leader, Honeywell Building Technologies, India said, “We are extremely excited to announce our first products into the Pro Audio industry with the launch of Honeywell ProSound. We are confident that the speaker range will prove to be the choicest offering for our discerning customers and its cutting-edge innovation, superior quality, uncompromising safety, and extraordinary sound performance, will resonate well with the industry.”
A report by Arizton Advisory and Intelligence had said that the global pro-audio-speakers market is expected to reach around $2 billion, growing at a CAGR approximately three per cent during 2018−2024. The report read, “Application of IoT, AR, and voice control and recognition technology is transforming the future of the pro speakers market.”
Honeywell’s consumer electronic’s product portfolio in India includes home air-purifiers, commercial air-purifiers, car air-purifiers and electrical switches amongst others.
Targeting different verticals
The three series launched by Honeywell in the country appear to be targeting different verticals of professional sound requirements. The ProZeta series, as per the compnay, provides clear audio in easy-to-transport and set-up models and is suitable for DJs and travelling musicians.
Company’s official statement read, “The ProAlpha range offers a series of high-definition speakers ideal for clubs and high SPL (sound pressure level) venues, with high-quality amplification. The ProZoe series features unparalleled sound quality with premium active line array technology. Available in versatile cabinets designed to suit indoor or outdoor requirements, the ProZoe range comes with a 32-bit DSP processor and a software to maximize the built-in DSP engine.”
It continued, “An extension of the Honeywell Public Address and Voice Alarm (PAVA) solutions, known for its intelligibility and durability, Honeywell ProSound speakers will enable the company to offer solutions to new verticals like hotels, malls, multiplexes, amphitheaters, clubs, educational institutions, and auditoriums.”
