Huawei Extends Warranty on Huawei, Honor Devices In India Due To Coronavirus Lockdown

Huawei has announced that it will be extending the warranty of all Huawei and Honor products in India. For smartphones, wearables, headsets, and accessories, the warranty has been extended to 30th June 2020. The warranty on these should expire between 21st March 2020 to 21st June 2020.

India has gone into 21 days of lockdown to curb the coronavirus spread. This made Huawei shut down production in India. Huawei also shut down various service centres for Huawei phones in India.

The company tweeted, “We are here to support you! As a gesture of good faith, we have extended the warranty on all smartphones, smartwatches, headsets, chargers, etc. to 30th June’2020, whose warranty expires between 21st March 2020 to 21st June 2020.”

Huawei said that for over 33 years, the customers and communities that the company has served have faced big and small challenges and have gone through them all by supporting each other and working together. It added that as a responsible business, the company is following instructions from the government and local authorities. The company has temporarily closed its service centers across the country until further notice. It is taking necessary precautions to support its customers
