Lenovo and Motorola Extended Warranty On Its Products Till 31st May Due To Coronavirus Lockdown

Lenovo and Motorola have extended the warranty of their smartphones and accessories until 31st May due to the Coronavirus lockdown. It will offer this extended free global warranty for up to 75 days extra through May 31, 2020, for all Lenovo and Motorola products.

Lenovo ( which owns Motorola) said in a press note that the warranty of its family of products coming to an end between 15th March through 30th April 2020 will be given extension till 31st May. It added that Lenovo and Motorola are there to support customers in continuing to stay connected, productive and entertained at home.

Many other consumer electronics companies have taken a similar step amidst the pandemic. Samsung has extended the standard warranty across its product portfolio till 31st May 2020. The products will include Samsung phones, tablets, smartphones, refrigerators, televisions, washing machines among others. This offer will be for products whose warranty would have expired between 20th March and 30th April 2020.

Itel, Tecno, Samsung, Oppo, Realme taking similar steps

Itel Mobile and Tecno Mobile announced that they have extended the warranty on their range of smartphones due to the Coronavirus lockdown by two months. Oppo said that it will extend the warranty of smartphones that expired on 23rd March. Realme stated that it has extended the warranty on all its products till 31st May. It is offering a warranty for those products whose warranty expires between 20th March 2020 to 30th April 2020.
