Nubia to Sell Red Magic Smartphone Starting 20 December in India

China based smartphone manufacturer Nubia has announced the Red Magic gaming smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 29,999, the Nubia Red Magic gaming smartphone is powered by 8 GB RAM coupled with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and Adreno 540 GPU.

Speaking about the latest gaming phone, Nubia India director, Dheeraj Kukreja said, “We are excited to launch the concept of Gametime Anytime in India. The launch of Red Magic has especially been crafted for the rising gaming community in India and will be a benchmark in its segment. We truly believe that with some of the unparalleled features like RGB strip, GameBoost Mode, Cooling Fans, 3800 mAh battery that we have packed in this revolutionary device, the experience will be power packed in every way.”

Nubia Red Magic features

Nubia Red Magic gaming smartphone features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display in 18:9 aspect ratio. The screen offers a contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with Adreno 540 GPU, 8GB of RAM and 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage. Nubia is claiming that the phone supports up to 16 million colors.

The ‘Game Boost’ feature, as per Nubia, allows the smartphone to receive high frame rates. A dual air convection cooling system, made of three cooling ports, graphite layers and a convex-styled back throws more heat out of the phone for better performance.

The latest Nubia gaming phone sports a 24 MP primary camera and a 8 MP camera on the front. The rear camera offers an aperture of f/1.7, while the front camera offers f/2.0 aperture.

It comes powered by a 3,800 mAh battery, that Nubia claims can provide up to 7 hours of gaming on a single charge. The device is based on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo OS. The Nubia Red Magic gaming smartphone offers Bluetooth 5.0 support and is equipped with MIMO antenna technology to offer wireless connectivity.

Nubia will start selling Red Magic gaming smartphone from December 20 in the country.
