OnePlus Launches Smartphone Care Service Initiative in India

• The program can be accessed by downloading OnePlus care app from Google Play store
• Phase I of the program has already been rolled out

OnePlus has launched its new initiative OnePlus Care service in India. According to OnePlus this service will give a 50 per cent off on battery replacement plans and free one year of extended warranty.

OnePlus India tweeted out, “With OnePlus Care, we introduce our newest initiative in bringing special benefits to the OnePlus community.”

OnePlus says that the warranty program will be available from OnePlus 6T model onwards. The 50 per cent off on battery replacement with zero labour plans will be given by OnePlus on OnePlus 3, 3T, 5, 5T, 6. OnePlus says that the company will give additional offers on all models when a user trades in old OnePlus phone and upgrades to new one.

More benefits in coming months

To access this initiative, the user can download the OnePlus care app from Google Play store. Then each OnePlus device owned meaning each IMEI number generated will let users’ access to benefits as applicable to the phone model. OnePlus has informed that the phase I of this initiative has already started and the company will come out with more benefits in the upcoming months.

OnePlus TV launched

OnePlus has recently launched OnePlus TV Q1 and OnePlus TV Q1 Pro at New Delhi. The Chinese electronics manufacturer also launched OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro smartphones in India with the TV launch.

Two months back OnePlus had opened a R&D centre in Hyderabad, where it is  focussing on developing future technologies of camera, automation, networking and connectivity, including rollout of 5G.

According to the company CEO Pete Lau, they plan to invest Rs 1,000 crore in this Hyderabad R&D centre over the next three years.
