TPV Vision Technology, brand license partner for Philips Television and Audio in India has announced the launch of a new range of Philips Smart LED TVs. The new Philips LED TV range consists of TV variants between 22-inch and 65-inch and will be available in the country from a starting price of Rs 9,990.
Arun Menon, Philips branded television and audio country business head, TPV Technology India, said, “There is a strategic plan to regain market share in India by growing our existing, strong sales and distribution network in audio that will cater to televisions also. We will realign and expand our service network to ensure best in class service experience for the Indian consumer”.
India a focus market for Philips
India, as per the company has been identified as a focus market for Philips TVs. A report by Tech Sci Research had earlier claimed that the Indian television market will surpass $ 13 billion by 2023. This massive growth was accredited to rising demand for TVs from increasing number of independent households as well as commercial and hospitality sectors.
Menon, said, “Followed by the new range of LED TVs, we also plan to launch our global flagship TV models including the OLED+ TVs and Ambilight 6700 Series in more screen sizes in the future. India has been identified as a focus market for Philips TVs.”
Philips LED TV features
The latest TPV Philips 65-inch will be the largest screen LED TV in the range. The company says that it is equipped with a 3-sided Ambilight mode that is claimed to makes movie and gaming experience feel more immersive.
All the Philips LED TVs in the latest range are loaded with Pixel Precise HD engine which, according to the company optimises picture quality and delivers crisp images. The latest Philips TVs also come enabled with HDR Plus technology (High Dynamic Range).
The Smart LED TVs from Philips also include a ‘Micro Dimming’ software that the company claims analyses the picture and adjusts it accordingly. New Philips TVs also feature in-built DTS HD and SAPHI OS. This OS is unique to Philips Smart TVs range.
Philips LED Smart TVs India price
The latest range of Philips LED Smart TVs starts at Rs 9,990 for the smallest 22-inch Full HD variant. Philips Ambilight 65PUT6703S, launched at a price tag of Rs 1,49,990 makes the most expensive among the range. Philips TV models will be available through both online and offline channels.
