Samsung Extends Warranty On All Products Due To Coronavirus Lockdown

Samsung has extended the standard warranty across its product portfolio till 31st May 2020 due to the Coronavirus lockdown. The products will include Samsung phones, tablets, smartphones, refrigerators, televisions, washing machines among others. This offer will be for products whose warranty would have expired between 20th March and 30th April 2020.

Samsung India tweeted, “At Samsung, the well-being of our customers is a top priority. That’s why, we are extending the standard warranty till 31st May, 2020 on all Samsung products whose warranty is expiring between 20th March and 30th April, 2020.”

Samsung is also extending the redemption period of offers for pre-booked customers of Galaxy S20. It said that customers who pre-booked the Galaxy S20 can collect and activate their smartphone till 30th April 2020 instead of the previous date of 31st March 2020. It also said that pre-booked consumers who purchased the S20 devices on or before 31st March can redeem the Galaxy Buds+ offer by 15th May 2020.

Other smartphones companies extend the warranty too

Just a few days back, Itel Mobile and Tecno Mobile announced that they have extended the warranty on their range of smartphones due to the Coronavirus lockdown by two months. Oppo said that it will extend the warranty of smartphones that expired on 23rd March. Realme stated that it has extended the warranty on all its products till 31st May. It is offering a warranty for those products whose warranty expires between 20th March 2020 to 30th April 2020.
