Sony to Invest Rs 25 Crores in Marketing During Durga Pooja

Sony India has set itself a target of 40 per cent growth in Bravia television business in West Bengal market vis-a-vis last festive season with an overall plan to achieve sales to the tune of Rs 350 crores. The company has recently launched new products across categories, such as Bravia televisions, Alpha cameras and lenses, soundbars, party speakers, headphones and Bluetooth speakers.

Satish Padmanabhan, sales head, Sony India, added saying, “We have a wide array of new products in each category available for consumer. There are also assured gifts on purchase of select products across categories such as Bravia televisions, soundbars, party speakers and alpha cameras which will drive the growth this season. We will back these promotional offers with robust marketing investment of Rs 25 crore towards ATL and BTL campaign.”

Aiming Rs 350 crore in sales

Sunil Nayyar, Managing Director, Sony India, said, “We acknowledge the trust that customers in West Bengal have shown in us. For this Durga Puja, we want to offer the most cutting-edge products bundled with unique consumer promotion offers and easy finance schemes to our consumers. We are confident to make this Durga Puja a memorable one for them and achieve sales of Rs 350 crore during festive season.”

The company plans to invest heavily in the region by pumping Rs 25 crore as marketing investment. These investments are primarily towards print and outdoor advertisements, PR and digital marketing and shop-front enhancement across Bengal. The company said it will introduce finance and cashback offers in West Bengal during Durga Pooja.

Sony’s official statement read, “With a slew of new products, easy finance schemes, consumer promotional offers and a highly visible marketing campaign, Sony intends to add joy to the Durga Puja festivities in West Bengal.”

It continued, “Some of the latest product offerings include flagship Bravia OLED Master series A9G and Bravia OLED 4K TV A8G series in the television segment. In digital imaging, A7R III & A7 III full frame cameras, RX0 II ultra-compact camera, a vlogger kit including A6400 camera along with additional accessories, Super-Telephoto 600mm F4 G Master Prime Lens and 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS Super-Telephoto Zoom Lens are available. Home audio segment has seen the launch of HT-Z9F and HT-X8500 Dolby Atmos soundbars; WH-XB900N Extra Bass Noise Cancellation headphone with Alexa, SRS-402M wireless Alexa speaker and SRS-XB32/22 Extra Bass Bluetooth speakers have been added to the personal audio segment.”
