Consumer accessories company, UBON, has emerged as the first Indian company to innovate and introduce ANC – Active Noise Cancellation headphone combined with enhanced bass.
The company on Thursday unveiled HP-800 -the country’s first active noise cancellation headphone – at Rs. 7990.
Developed in UBON audio labs, HP-800 headphone offers clear vocals along with smart noise reduction to deliver realistic high-fidelity sound, the company said in a press release.
The product is now available at the company’s website and all leading retail stores and e-commerce websites across India. Buyers will get a 6-month warranty from 650+ service centres.
Key Features
HP-800 headphone comes with a claimed battery life of 20 hours and up to 200 hours of standby time.
Apart from Bluetooth, the headphone has a 3.5mm audio jack for wired connectivity.
Other features include customisable turning on and off noise cancellation, built-in microphone to receive calls, and dynamic awareness which compensates for loud sounds when noise cancellation is switched on.
UBON finally gets its own ANC technology
Commenting on the launch, the company’s co-founder Mandeep Arora said, “We aim to innovate and manufacture products that can provide crystal clear audio experience to the user. We had been working for a long time on developing our own ANC technology and finally our R&D team at UBON audio labs succeeded in achieving the same.”
According to a Global Market Insights’ report, an increasing number of government agencies worldwide are focusing on the development of audio electronic systems such as noise cancelling headsets.
The report also cited that there is a higher demand for professional audio and visual equipment from the media and entertainment industry, which is expected to largely contribute to the consumer electronics market growth in the coming years.
