Riversong is planning to enter the wireless earbuds market in India. The company, as per information obtained from reliable resources, is planning to launch Air X5 and Air X3 wireless earbuds in the country. This launch is slated to take place in month of April itself.
Individuals aware of the development told EFY-ACE that the company will be positioning itself in the premium segment in the country. Apart from these wireless earbuds, Riversong is also planning to launch more smartphone accessories in India.
It is to be noted here that all the Riversong products are currently imported from China. EFY-ACE also learnt that Riversong has plans to start manufacturing in India as soon as the market for its products picks up.
More Competition in the market
Riversong Air X5 and Air X3 were first showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2019. The company is thinking of positioning these in the Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 price range. Both the variants are based on Bluetooth v5.0.
Once launched, these will head straight into competition with the likes of Motorola Verve Buds, Blaupunkt BTW01 and Boult Audio Twinpods in India. While Motorola Verve Buds are currently retailing for a price below Rs 8,000 on a popular e-commerce portal, the Blaupunkt BTW01 and Boult Audio Twinpods are available for prices below Rs 6,000 on the same e-commerce portal.
More IoT products in the making

The IMG Technology owned consumer electronics brand has already launched Horizon 10 and Horizon 20 power banks in India. It is also offering power banks in the Ray and Nemo series.
Manvendra K Chandola, CEO of Riversong India had earlier said that the company has already planned about new product launches in the country. He said, “This year we have many new launches in the pipeline across consumer technology space to fulfill the need gap across sectors like smart wearables, IOT products etc.”
Riversong had commenced its operations in India in December 2017. It is present in various product categories in India including smart wearables, fitness bands, smart watches, kid’s watches, smart home appliances, power banks, speakers and earphones.
