The company plans to launch more than 10 intelligent products across Home Automaton, Automotive, Health and Entertainment domains in the next 5 years

Hero Group Company has announced its entry into the consumer electronics segment through Hero Electronix in India. The company is showcasing one of its first consumer electronic products at CES 2019.
Nikhil Rajpal, CEO, Hero Electronix said, “We believe we have a unique opportunity available to us at this point. There is a major revolution coming where AI-powered connected devices can solve massive real world problems. While we are addressing the home automation space with our first range of products in the near term, we will soon come out with products targeted at the automotive, health and fitness space.”
An official statement released by the company read, “The team at Hero Electronix believes that a massive revolution is coming as smart devices proliferate driven by technology trends like ubiquitous connectivity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and low-cost sensors. Existing products ranging from cameras to audio speakers are getting smarter and a whole new range of devices are emerging (i.e. dash cam, child trackers) that can make our lives more convenient, safer and entertaining!”
It is to be noted here that Hero Electronix had acquired MyBox – an India-based set-top box manufacturing company, and Zenatix, an enterprise focused internet-of-things (IoT) Solutions Company, in the past.
First Hero Electronix consumer durable previewed at CES 2019
Hero Electronix has put first of these products on preview at the CES 2019 at Las Vegas through Amazon and Qualcomm. The brand claims that it is one of the few innovations from India to be showcased at the CES 2019. This product, as per the company, is powered by Qualcomm Vision Intelligence 100 Platform.
The company’s official statement read, “This is a breakthrough product designed to be the centerpiece of security, entertainment and automation needs of your home. At its heart, it’s a HD camera with advanced artificial intelligence that allows you to remotely monitor and protect your home. Features like facial recognition and 2-way audio help you to stay connected with loved ones. Night vision and motion (unknown person detection) alerts help guard against potential incidents. It has Alexa and home hub built-in, so you can use your voice to play music, control smart home devices, access skills and more – hands free.”

Core technology components built in house
Hero Electronix claims that the company has also invested in building core technology components. Everything from the hardware to the devices’ software and app, as per the company, has been developed by Hero’s own team of engineers. The brand had collaborated with global partners, and claims to have carried out extensive R&D over last two years.
