Honor Unveils Vision Smart TV at the Indian Mobile Congress in India

Honor has unveiled the Vision smart TV at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) in Delhi. The company has not yet revealed the exact launch date or the price of the TV.

The company has priced the TV at 3,799 yuan (approx. Rs 38,200) in China. The TV will go on sale in India during the first quarter of next year.

HiSilicon Hi1103 Wi-Fi chip

Honor says that the Vision TV comes with a 55-inch display that has a 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, 400nits brightness and 178-degree viewing angle. The TV has a HiSilicon Hi1103 Wi-Fi chip which supports 160MHz bandwidth, 2.4G/5GHz dual frequency. The TV will also offer download speeds of up to 1.7Gbps says the company.

The TV is equipped with quad-core Honghu 818 SoC with a Mali-G51 GPU. The TV has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The TV also comes with four 10W speakers. On the connectivity front, the TV supports Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, three HDMI ports, one USB 3.0 port, and one Ethernet port

TUV Rheinland certification

Honor says that the front panel of the TV come with TUV Rheinland certification for protection against blue light. The TVs have motion estimate and motion compensation, high dynamic range imaging (HDR), super-resolution, noise reduction, dynamic contrast improvement, auto colour management and local dimming as claimed by the company.

According to a report by Research and Markets, India Smart TV market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 30.2 per cent during 2018 to 24. Households in India are at a cusp of transition and a shift in preference has been witnessed from conventional TV sets to smart TV sets.
