Oppo watch company’s first smartwatch has been recently launched in the market. The smartphone brand had revealed the smartwatch at an event in China.
Initially, the device was to be unveiled at the MWC but had to delay the launch amid Coronavirus spread.
Pricing and Availability
Currently, the watch would be available in two sizes 41mm and 46mm along with an AMOLED display, curved glass and a square-ish screen. The wearable would also support eSIM with two colour options. The smartwatch would also come with fluoro rubber strap with three colour variants black, gold and silver.
The 41mm size option comes with a price tag of CNY 1,499 that translates to RS 15,000. Meanwhile, the 46mm size option would be available in two frame material choices – aluminium and stainless steel. The aluminium frame will be offered in black and gold with fluoro rubber straps which have been priced at Rs 20,000.
Specifications and features
With two physical buttons, the 46mm chassis features a 4.85 cm (1.91-inch) OLED screen offering 402 x 473 pixels of resolution along with 326 ppi pixel density. The smartwatch also runs on a custom version of Oppo’s ColorOS skin and is based on Google’s Wear OS. This makes the watch compatible with Android devices only.
Supported by Oppo’s latest VOOC fast-charging, the wearable claims to charge from zero to 46 per cent in just 15 minutes. It lasts up to 40 hours with normal usage or up to 21 days with built-in power-saving mode, when fully charged. The watch which is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 SoC, comes with various fitness tracking features, music playback, heart rate monitoring, water-resistance up to 50 meters, and eSIM support.
