Redmi Note 9 Pro to be Released in the Indian Market Today

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi had recently announced its latest edition of the popular ‘Note’ series in the form of the Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Note 9 Pro Max. Today, the Note 9 Pro will be available in India. As of now, E-commerce sites Amazon India and Mi.com, Xiaomi’s website will be selling the product.

The Redmi Note 9 will be available in offline markets as well but at a later point of time. This means that besides Amazon and Mi.com, one can even purchase the Note 9 Pro from Mi Home and Mi Studio stores. On the other hand, the Pro Max will be available in India on March 25th for the first time.

Specifications

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G mobile platform, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with Corning Gorilla 5 at the front as well as the rear. The device also boasts a 6.67 inch IPS LCD with a 60 Hz refresh rate along with a touch sampling rate of 120 Hz. The company has launched three colour options to choose from: Interstellar Black, Glacier White and Aurora Blue. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Both 6GB or 8GB of DDR4X RAM variations are available along with up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. The phone is also supported by a dedicated SD card slot. The chipset also brings NavIC support. Xiaomi revealed that it will prioritize Indian satellites for navigation.

The difference

The real difference between the two models lies in the main rear camera and the selfie camera. With a 64-megapixel main camera, the latest smartphone is also paired with an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle shooter, a 5-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, the phone holds a 32-megapixel selfie camera, which is housed inside a punch-hole setup.

Backed by 5,020mAh battery, the Note 9 Pro Max has a 33W fast charger. The 6GB RAM variant with a storage of 64GB is priced at Rs 14,999. The 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 16,999. The model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 18,999. It will be available from March 25, 2020 via Amazon India, Mi.com and Mi Stores in the country.
