Sony has showcased its latest line-up of solutions at the Broadcast India Show 2019. The latest innovations and technologies from Sony, as per the company, will allow content creators, media managers and players in the infotainment industry to augment their storytelling capabilities.
“Sony has always strived to make innovation meet transformers who can be empowered by latest technology. We are glad to be able to present our latest product line up at the Broadcast India Show 2019; which will empower today’s professionals to be prepared for tomorrow’s technologies from Sony.” said Shinya Koshie, head, Professional Solutions Group, Sony India at the exhibition.
He added “The showcase by Sony India today with the Crystal LED display system, Edge Analytic Appliance, PMW-FX9, Venice 4.0, HDC-3500/3100, BVM-HX3100 and Alpha 7S M4 is aimed at delivering bigger creative returns at minimal operation cost.”
Showcasing crystal LED (CLED)
For the first time in India, Sony will showcase crystal LED display system in 4K x 2K resolution with screen size of 4.9 m X 2.7 m. Sony’s official statement read, “The ultimate canvas that pushes the boundaries to re-imagine and realize visual presentation of the future. Crystal LED display system inspires and engages visitors with its awe-inspiring bezel-less screen, unique scalability, precise colour reproduction and outstanding picture quality on any scale, with almost 180-degree viewing angle. Crystal LED is a high-end product by Sony especially offered for Industrial designing, digital showroom, corporate lobby, museum, home entertainment, etc.”
PXW-FX9 featuring a newly developed Exmor R 6K full frame sensor
XDCAM camcorder featuring a newly developed Exmor R 6K full-frame sensor and fast hybrid auto focus system with the dedicated 561-point phase-detection AF sensor. The camcorder delivers content that captures light and shade perfectly, thanks to its 15+ stops of latitude.
Sony’s official statement read, “Building upon the success of the PXW-FS7 and PXW- FS7M2, and being inherited its colour science and the Dual Base ISO 800/4000 from the digital motion picture camera VENICE, new camcorder offers content creators greater creative freedom to capture stunning images and represents the ultimate tool of choice for documentaries, music videos, drama productions and all-round event shooting. The FX9 is also compatible with the new UWP-D wireless microphone systems launched at NAB via Multi Interface Shoe (MI Shoe) with digital audio interface, incorporating the fast and easy channel setting NFC sync function in compact lightweight design.”
HDC-3500 studio camera with world’s first 2/3-inch 4K CMOS Sensor
The new studio camera, as per Sony, allows to capture premium pictures with the world’s first 2/3-inch 4K CMOS sensor with global shutter technology that eliminates the ‘jello effect’ and banding noise. Sony’s official statement read, “It is teamed with a specially developed LSI digital signal processor that fully realises the extraordinary imaging power of this new sensor. The HDC-3500 can capture High Dynamic Range images, supporting Sony’s SR Live workflow for simultaneous HDR/SDR production with reduced inventory requirements.”
It continued, “The new Alpha 7R IV series, 35mm full-frame mirrorless camera line-up is designed to deliver stunning image quality with high resolution and wide dynamic range while maintaining outstanding focusing performance and high-speed continuous shooting. The advanced technology in the camera enables better connectivity and usability which allows professional photographers, videographers and all content creators to capture the moments the way they see it.”
