- Telefunken will be retailing these TVs on Amazon during the upcoming Great Indian Sale
- The company had entered India through the brand licensing route late last year
Telefunken will be retailing TVs at starting prices of Rs 6,999 during the Great Indian sale on Amazon during 19 to 22 January 2020. Videotex International, is the owner of Telefunken’s brand license in India. Interestingly, Videotex International, had launched the Telefunken brand in India with seven SKUs of TVs.
“Videotex is excited to bring Telefunken, the German legacy of over 115 Years to India. Our goal is to bring superior technology to the Indian consumers and we aim to acquire five per cent market share,” Arjun Bajaj, director, Videotex International, had quoted at the launch of Telefunken TVs and brand in September 2019.

Among the seven Telefunken TVs that Videotex International has announced disocunts on, the major seller for the brand might be its 55-inch (140 cm) TV that will be retailed for a price of Rs 27,999 during the Amazon sale. Similarly, the brand will also be retailing 65-inch (165 cm) TV at a price of Rs 44,999 during the sale period.
Other TV models put up on sales by Videotex International include 32-inch normal, 32-inch smart, 40-inch smart, 49-inch smart and 49-inch 4K smart TV. Videotex also retails Daiwa TVs in India.

It continued, “The sale is being held from 19 to 22 January and for Prime members, the Amazon Great India Sale will begin 12 hours early i.e., on January 18 at 12 pm (noon) IST. Along with the Amazing deals on Amazon you can also avail a whooping 10 per cent discount with instant payments from SBI Cards.”
