According to a report by Gizmochina, Xiaomi has announced the Mijia Smart Video Doorbell 2. It is expected that the product will be launched under the Youpin crowdfunding platform on 11th March. The company will retail it for 179 yuan ($25) during its launch and then the price will be set to 199 yuan($28).
The company has released a teaser video. The device will be sold in black colour. As per the report, it seems to be an upgrade of the smart doorbell launched under crowdfunding last year called Zero Smart Doorbell.
The report added that the device will have AI-enabled camera to monitor the home front. It will also come with motion detection capabilities so that if someone is at the door, the camera will snap and send it to the connected smartphone. It can be linked to other AIoT products from Xiaomi like smart touchscreen speaker.
