Tech giant Apple has announced that it will offer free repair program for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models which are facing a ‘No Power’ problem. This repair program is accessible globally according to the company. The repair program will cover those iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models which were bought till two years after the first retail sale of a unit.
Many iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus users had complained that they were not able to turn on their phones. Apple has claimed that the issue was faced due to a “component that may fail”.
Issue in phones manufactured between October 2018 to August 2019
Apple also said that the issue that is being faced is restricted to a serial number range for the phones that were manufactured between October 2018 to August 2019. The company said that the customers can check for the serial number on the phone through Apple’s official site with the help of serial number checker and check the eligibility of free repair on their iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
Apple said in a statement, “Apple has determined that certain iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices may not power on due to a component that may fail. This issue only affects devices within a limited serial number range that were manufactured between October 2018 to August 2019.”
iPhone 11 launched
Apple has recently launched its latest iPhone 11 series at the Steve Jobs Theatre in the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. The iPhone 11 succeeds the iPhone XR. According to Apple, the phone comes with A13 Bionic chip which is its fastest chip so far.
The phone is priced at Rs 64,990. Apple also launched iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Plus. The Pro series come with triple camera system integrated into the iOS, the first of its kind from Apple. The iPhone 11 Pro starts at Rs 99,900 and the iPhone 11 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,09,900.
