According to a report by GSMArena, OnePlus has announced that it will introduce its first-ever concept phone, the ‘OnePlus Concept One’ at CES 2020 and it will be a foldable-display smartphone.
The report mentioned that the upcoming device may come with some ultra-fast charging technologies, including 40W wireless charging and up to 100W wired charging.
The back panel of the device has the quad-camera setup with three lenses along with an LED flash arranged in a vertical strip and a fourth camera placed alongside it, the report said. The smartphone is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 865 flagship chipset, coupled with at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Among the top five OEMs in the segment
Oneplus, according to a recent Counterpoint Research report, recaptured its position among the top five OEMs in the segment. It also led the India premium segment, which reached a record high shipment level during the quarter. With the launch of Oneplus 7T and 7T Pro, the OEM now covers a wide portfolio across different price bands in the premium segment targeting users at various price points to upgrade.
As a matter of fact, India’s smartphone shipments in the premium segment (≥ Rs 30,000 or roughly ≥ US $ 493 retail price) grew 66 per cent YoY (year-on-year) to reach an all-time record high in Q3 2019. Among the brands, Oneplus (35 per cent) led the premium market segment followed by Samsung (23 per cent) and Apple (22 per cent). Oneplus grew faster (+95 per cent) than the segment (+66 per cent) and remained the fastest-growing brand.
