According to a report by ET, Vikas Aggarwal, country head of OnePlus said that starting 2020, the company will focus on its offline expansion, manufacturing and research and development in India.
Strengthening its research and development facility
He further stated that OnePlus will be strengthening its research and development facility in Hyderabad where it employs 250 of its India staff of around 400. It plans to scale this facility to more than 1,000 people in the next two years.
The company has been mostly testing its 5G capabilities at this centre, along with other software development works. It also outsources customer services from India to English-speaking markets.
He also informed the news daily that the company, which predominantly been an online major, will now be looking at tier I and tier II cities to expand its offline presence.

As per a recent report by Counterpoint Research, the brand posted 95% year-over-year growth in sales during this quarter.
