Qualcomm All Set to launch 5G iPhone at the Earliest

The earliest rollout of 5G in India is expected by the end of 2020 and in accordance with that, Qualcomm has informed that it is working with Apple to launch 5G iPhone at the earliest.

In an exclusive interview with PC Mag, Qualcomm’s president Cristiano Amon informed that the company is closely working with the Cupertino giant to bring a 5G iPhone to the market on time.

He further stated that priority number one of this relationship with Apple is how to launch their phones as fast as they can. Apple is expected to launch its first 5G iPhone towards the end of 2020, and the modem inside the device will be powered by Qualcomm.

5G iPhone in 2020

According to a report by Reuters, Qualcomm hinted at the arrival of a 5G iPhone in 2020 this time. The news came from Qualcomm’s investor’s conference call. The company CFO Akash Palkhiwala mentioned that several handsets with 5G chips will be launching during the ‘Spring’. Palkhiwala added that the second wave of flagship handsets with 5G chips will arrive in the ‘fall’ time frame.

Apple and Qualcomm have also joined hands this year for implementing its chipsets in iPhones for at least the next six years.
