This was the first time that the company had organised sales for Realme 3 Pro in India
BBK owned Realme said that it has created a new record by selling 1,70,000 units of Realme 3 Pro smartphones in under eight minutes time. The sale was organised on Flipkart and company’s own website in India.
Realme India tweeted, “It’s a new record! 1,70,000+ units sold in 8 mins! For those who missed it, get ready for the next sale of real me 3 Pro at 4 PM today.”
Madhav Sheth, CEO, Realme India, tweeted, “Thank You Guys! We have achieved a new record with Rm3pro. We are restocking, next sale at 4pm today.”
Sold not shipped
This is probably the first time that a smartphone brand has claimed to sell a number of units instead of focusing in the shipped devices figures. The basic difference between ‘sold’ and ‘shipped’ could be easily defines as the numbers that were sold to the end customers and the numbers that were shipped to the retailers.
Many smartphone brands have claimed of shipping large numbers in the past, but Realme has become the first one to actually mention the number of devices it sold. Realme, as per a latest report by Canalys Research, had shipped 1.3 million devices during Q1 2019.
Realme has also announced the next sale for the Realme 3 Pro smartphones. Sheth took to Twitter and announced that the next sale will take place today at 4 PM.
Sheth’s tweet read, “Thank you guys for all the support, we are still in-warding more stocks of Rm3pro and shall be live again for you at 4pm today. Just to ensure everyone wanting to have hands-on this great device don’t miss a chance.”
Realme 3 Pro features
Realme 3 Pro comes equipped with Snapdragon 710 AIE processor. The company said it will retail the 4GB variant for Rs 13,999 and the 6GB RAM variant at Rs 16,999 in India. The Snapdragon 710 AIE processor, in this latest Realme smartphone comes mated to Adreno 616 GPU. Interestingly, during the online sales, it was noticed that Realme is also retailing a 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant of Realme 3 Pro at a price of Rs 15,999.
The waterdrop notch 6.3-inch (16.002cm) display equipped on the Realme 3 Pro is an IPS LCD. This screen offers a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels in 19.5:9 aspect ratio with pixel density of 409ppi. This display also features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Realme 3 camera setup is equipped with a combination of 16MP and 5MP sensors. On the front, the phone is equipped with a 25 MP senor. The Realme 3 Pro is powered by 4045mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging. Realme is also offering a 20W charger with every shipment.
