According to some media reports, Xiaomi is all set to make its debut in Sweden. The China-based smartphone player will hold an event in central Stockholm, Sweden, on November 13, 2019.
Smart Life Made Simple
Xiaomi hadn’t revealed what products it would bring to Sweden, but the event page included the text “Smart Life Made Simple”, which hinted at the company launching smart home products, reported GSMArena.
As of March 31, 2019, global shipments of the Xiaomi smart TVs had reached 2.6 million units, representing a year-on-year growth of 99.8 percent. Excluding smart TVs and laptops, the Group’s ecosystem products, such as Mi Band, Mi Air Purifier and Mi Electric Scooter, also achieved robust sales growth.
In terms of single-brand retail stores, Xiaomi is 44 per cent bigger than Samsung and over 48 per cent bigger than CCD. These findings were revealed by a retail and channel solution provider Channel play.
Xiaomi, which is now present in smartphones, smart TVs, air purifiers, water purifiers categories among others, has recently inaugurated its 2,500th store in India. As a matter of fact, the company had started expanding in the offline channel last year.
