Xiaomi Puts Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro On Open Sale

Redmi Note 8 Pro

Xiaomi has put Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro on open sale in India. The two smartphones were launched in India in October. Before this, the phones were available only through flash sales.

The company will be selling the phones through online partner Amazon. It will also be made available on Xiaomi’s online store and retail stores. The company has priced the Redmi Note 8 with 4GB RAM and 64GB variant at Rs 9,999 and the 6GB RAM and 128GB model at Rs 12,999.

It has priced the Redmi Note 8 Pro with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant at Rs 14,999. The 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with 128GB storage have been priced at Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively.

MIUI 10 based on Android Pie

The Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro come with 16 cm (6.3-inch) and 16.58 cm (6.53-inch) Full HD+ LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Both of them run on run MIUI 10 based on Android Pie.

The Redmi Note 8 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC and the Redmi Note 8 Pro is backed by MediaTek Helio G90T gaming processor. The Note 8 comes with quad rear camera setup. It has a 48MP main camera and the Note 8 Pro has a 64MP main camera. Both the phones have an 8MP ultrawide lens and dual 2MP shooter for macro and depth sensing. At the front, the Note 8 has a 13MP selfie camera while the Note 8 Pro has a 20MP selfie shooter.

Fast charging support

Both the phones have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Note 8 is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The Note 8 Pro comes with a 4,500mAh battery with fast charge support. Both the phones support WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE and USB Type-C port for charging.
