The online sales on eCommerce biggies like Amazon India and Flipkart ahead of the festive season are proving fruitful for consumer electronic brands. Xiaomi which had earlier claimed that it had sold over 1.5 million devices during the first few hours of sales on the online platforms has now claimed that it sold more than 2.5 lakh Mi TVs during the first few days of the season sale on Amazon and Flipkart. The company also said that the Mi TV remains the highest-selling TV on Amazon and Flipkart during the shopping festival.
Sold 43 Mi TVs per minute
Eshwar Nilakanta, category lead, MiTV, Xiaomi India said, “Our Smart TV business was born in 2018 and it has flourished well in India. We hit our first million in India within eight months of origin and two million in another five months.”
If we look at it in another way, Xiaomi sold over 43 Mi TVs per minute during the festive season sale. Xiaomi further said two out of five best-selling smart TVs on Amazon India were Mi TVs.
Nilakanta further added, “In September this year, we announced a three million milestone where the additional million took us only four months. This is a testament to all the love from our Mi Fans where they helped us reach a monumental 250,000 in mere days.”
Mi TV 4C Pro and Mi TV 4A Pro are leaders
Xiaomi is the leading brand in the smart TV segment on Flipkart in terms of value. Xiaomi says that the Mi TVs are bestsellers across partner platforms during the sale as well. The Mi TV 4C Pro and Mi TV 4A Pro are ranked one and two respectively on Amazon India.
