Sony Aims to Double Large Screen TV Sales in India

Sony India has launched two different marketing campaigns to bolster its premium TV sales in the country. Targeting the TV as well as the digital space, the campaigns – Be Immersed in Sound and Vision and Live the Stadium feel, will continue till mid-July. Interestingly, the ongoing cricket world cup is also ending at the same time.

Sachin Rai, head of Bravia business, Sony India said, “More and more people want to view cricket through the most immersive experience possible and we are sure that with our Sony Bravia TVs, we will provide an on-ground like match viewing experience to cricket lovers.”

Promotional offers themed around cricket

Sony, to make purchase easier for customer’s pocket, has introduced five per cent additional cashback offers, 12/4 and 18/4 EMI schemes in association with select banks. These offers are available until mid-July 2019.

Sachin Rai added, “We are committed to offering Sony’s premium experience to the largest possible base of cricket fans and are offering easy finance, EMI and cashback offers to enable more customers to choose a Sony this cricket world cup season.” He further said, “Over the last few years, we have been honored to be the first choice of all cricket and sports fans in India.”

Focus on large screen TVs?

The company said that its line-up of premium large screen TVs such as A8F, X95G and X9000F make viewing cricket perfect. It is to be noted here that Sony’s large screen TVs are available on Flipkart at a starting price of Rs 90,290 for the 55-inch version. These prices go up to Rs 2,78,950 for the 65-inch 4K OLED variant.

Rai added, “With our impressive television line-up backed by consumer promotion offers and marketing campaign, we aim to double our sales of large screen television this cricket world cup.”
