F&D Eyes 43-inch Smart TV Segment in India

The pricing of the F&D LED TV makes it a rival of brands like LG, Sony and Panasonic in India. Fenda has also announced ‘1+2 years’ extended warranty with the TV

Fenda, popular as F&D in India, has announced its entry into the Indian smart TV market. The brand has priced its first 43-inch ‘FLT – 4302SHG’ smart LED TV at Rs 49,990 in the country. F&D claims that the new LED TV has toughened glass protection, and is built using A+ grade panel.

F&D said, “43 inch is a sweet spot in the LED TV market, witnessing huge demand from customers who are looking for novelty in TV technology and features at an affordable pricing. This is where our new product addition of the Smart LED TV – 43 inches Full HD TV fits in. The TV comes with FHD resolution, superior contrast ratio along with toughened glass protection for stunning viewing experience.”

Price wars

The pricing of the F&D LED TV makes it a rival of brands like LG, Sony and Panasonic in India. LG’s 43-inch full HD smart TV is priced at Rs 41,999 on a popular e-commerce portal, whereas Sony’s 43 inches full HD smart TV is retailing for Rs 47,999 on the same portal.

It is also to be noted here that several other brands including the likes of Xiaomi and MarQ are offering 43 inches full HD smart TVs at prices downward of Rs 24,000 in the country.

F&D 43-inch smart TV features

This latest Fenda smart TV features screen resolution of 1920 X 1080 and is built using an ‘A+’ grade panel as claimed by the company. Fenda has announced an 1+2 years extended warranty with the TV. Connectivity options on the Fenda smart TV include 2 USB ports and 3 distinct HDMI ports.

A press release issued by the brand read, “Integrated with the 8Wx2 (16W) BOX speakers, the TV produce crystal-clear sound, enhancing the movie viewing and listening experiences. The smart TV runs on Android Version 7.0 and comes with pre-installed applications like Netflix, HotStar etc., that lets users do more. From web browsing to more, users can play game and stream content online through Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity options and in-built apps. Powered by 1GB RAM & storage space up to 8GB, the TV stores multimedia data and files without the worry of external memory.”

Fenda claims that their latest LED TV is available at leading retail stores across India. There is no confirmation whether Fenda will be using online channels to sell it in the Indian market.
