LG Electronics India MD Kim Ki Wan has revealed that the brand is looking to add more offerings under its B2B portfolio

Famous as a home appliances and consumer electronics brand in India, LG Electronics is expecting its B2B segment to contribute significantly to its turnover in the coming times. The brand last Friday unveiled a mammoth commercial display signage installed at the Ambience Mall in Delhi. This display signage, as per the company, is an ideal way that brands and retailers can use for advertising and promoting products.
LG’s B2B segment currently contributes 8 to 10 per cent to its total sales figures in India. LG Electronics India Managing Director Kim Ki Wan told PTI, “B2B is our future business. We are gaining our market share in segments like hotel TV and digital signage market.”
B2B portfolio as “future business”
Considering B2B segment as its “future business”, the brand is planning to introduce more products under its B2B portfolio in India. Apart from the hotel TVs and market, LG India, as per Kim Ki Wan, is also gaining share in the commercial air-conditioning segment.
LG, apart from focusing on B2B segment, will also launch new products and add verticals in the B2C segment. It is to be noted here that LG Electronics India’s turnover stood somewhere between Rs 16,000 crore to Rs 17,000 crore during FY 2016-17.
The company would also continue to launch products and add more verticals in its offerings every year in the consumer business segment. Kim Ki Wan said that the brand will be launching ceiling fans incorporated with Artificial Intelligence technology. LG had also launched new products including air and water purifiers in India this year.
Commercial OLED display signage at Ambience Mall
LG’s newest commercial landmark signage has been installed in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, Delhi. The mammoth Landmark Signage weighs 4.8 ton and has been suspended by punching 6 rigging points into the huge pillars of the Ambience Mall building structure.
The Landmark Signage, as per LG, is made using 63 custom-made curved OLED panels. This is the second commercial landmark signage executed by LG in India; the first one was installed in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon.
Kim Ki Wan said, “We are extremely overwhelmed to announce the launch of Landmark Signage which is custom made with flexible 63 curved LG OLED panels. LG OLED Panels offer a lot of design flexibility and can therefore be customized into different shapes and sizes. With this step, we have opened a plethora of marketing possibilities using LG’s display technology. We would further like to create zones where consumer can experience OLED capabilities.”
