Realme Will Focus More on Budget Segment Offerings in 2019

Realme has launched 2019 edition of C1 smartphone. The budget smartphone market in India is filled with several new and old brands

Realme has announced the launch of Realme C1 (2019) in India. The China-based smartphone brands said that the it will 2GB RAM+32GB ROM and 3GB RAM+32GB ROM variants of 2019 C1 smartphone will be sold on Flipkart from 5th Feb, 2019 onward.

Madhav Sheth, CEO, Realme India, said, “Starting this year, Realme will be focusing more on investing in the budget phone segment expanding our reach to massive customers. Launching Realme C1 (2019) with 2+32 GB and 3+32 GB is a step towards our investment in the budget segment.”

Budget smartphone market in India

The budget smartphone market in India is filled with several new and old brands. Many new brands including the likes of Yuho, Voto and Mobiistar are trying their best to capture a pie of the market share. On the other hand players like Mi and Realme have successfully carved a place for themselves in the Indian budget smartphone arena.

As a matter of fact, global consumer electronics giant Samsung has also announced M Series smartphones in the same category in the country. Going by the specs its seems as if the Realme C1 will be competing against another new entrant Samsung M10 smartphone. Several models from the stables of Mi may also be able to give tough competition to Realme’s 2019 version of C1 smartphone.

Realme C1 (2019) specs

Realme C1 (2019) comes equipped with a 4230 mAh battery. The brand claims that this battery can last up to 44 hours in phone calls, up to 18 hours in playing music with wifi, and up to 10 hours of gaming. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor.

This smartphone (2019) is equipped with a 13 MP + 2 MP dual camera lens. The front 5 MP camera features AI beauty and has 296 recognition points. Realme C1 (2019) supports facial unlock and smartlock as well.
