- Kodak has recently launched 43,50 and 55-inch 4K TVs in India
- The company is expecting sales of two lakh units of Kodak HD LED TVs this Diwali season
Avneet Singh Marwah, Director and CEO, Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd, in a recent exclusive conversation with EFY Group shared plans for Kodak TVs in India. The company is now focusing on promoting big screen TVs in the country.
He said, “We have recently launched 43, 50 and 55-inch 4K TVs keeping upcoming Diwali season in mind. SPPL wants Indian consumers to experience big screen TVs in nominal prices. The demand for big screen TVs in India have already picked up and we are sure that with our range of economically priced 4K big screen Kodak TVs, this demand will get a major boost.”
It is to be noted here that this last Cricket world cup season, the sales of smaller size screen TVs was much lower than the demand for big screen size TVs. Similarly, the demand for 4K TVs is also increasing in India.
Retailers need to support all brands
Avneet Singh Marwah, pointing towards small and big independent consumer electronics retailers in India said that the offline sales channel needs to support all TV brands. He said, “Retailers need to support all TV brands instead of supporting just the top three ones. Online channel has proved that economically priced TVs appeal much better to consumers in the country and Kodak TVs are a big proof of that.”
SPPL has already made its way into big retail chains like Croma Online and Vijay Sales. The company confirmed that all the new launched three TVs will be available in these stores. However, SPPL is now also looking to expand in India and is looking to collaborate with small and independent retailers as well.
Company’s CEO also said that our focus is on creating a win-win situation for everyone. He mentioned that SPPL makes sure its dealer and retailer network gets the best margin figures in the industry.

In addition to government initiatives such as Digital India and Make in India, rapid urbanization and growing awareness of smart TVs in tier-II and tier-III cities in the country, has been encouraging the growth of smart TVs in near-future.
