Bengaluru-headquartered electric two-wheeler start-up Ultraviolette Automotive will launch its first electric bike F77 on 13th November. It is expected that the company will price it at around Rs two lakh ((ex-showroom).

Telematics, remote diagnostics
The company says the F77 has been developed using advanced engineering simulations. It has used multi-level safety systems to design the bike as per Ultraviolette Automotive. The bike will also have ride telematics, remote diagnostics, over-the-air (OTA) upgrades, regenerative braking, multiple ride modes, ride analytics and bike tracking.
Two-wheeler maker TVS Motors backs this startup with a 14.78 per cent stake in it. It was previously revealed the F77 will have a Trellis frame and will be powered by a 25kW electric motor. There is no update on the battery capacity or the range yet.
Chetak Electric Scooter launched
Recently, Bajaj has unveiled the Chetak Electric Scooter in India. It is likely to be priced at around Rs 1.25 lakhs and the company will sell it in a phased manner starting from Pune and Bengaluru next year.
As per Bajaj, the Chetak electric scooter comes with a 4kW electric motor and an IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack. The scooter has two riding modes-Eco and Sport and comes with reverse assist feature too. The range of the Sport mode is 85 km while that of Eco mode is 95 km claimed by Bajaj. It will sell the electric scooters in blue, red, white, silver, beige and black through Bajaj’s pro-biking premium dealership network.
