Taiwan headquartered Avision has launched a self -service copier. The company claims this is the world’s first self-service copier. Avision also says the copier is suitable for school campus, library, hotels and hospitality businesses, retail stores.
Claire Sung, marketing head, Avision said, “To meet the ever-growing demand of mobile pay, we have innovated Avision self-service copier and printer to make online payment, copying and printing easier for the users in a self-service environment.”
Copy at the speed of approximately 30 copies per minute
The copier comes with a 10.92 cm (4.3- inch) colour touchscreen display. Avision says the copier can copy at the speed of approximately 30 copies per minute. It has 4,000-pages toner cartridges and a capacity tray of up to 250 sheets of paper. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G Wi-Fi hotspot. Users can pay for the service through UPI supported mobile wallets.

Supports UPI mobile wallets
For copying and ID card copying, the user needs to scan the document and then Avision self-service copier (SSC) will generate payment QR code for users to confirm the payment amount. After the user pays through UPI supported mobile wallets, the copying is done.
For USB printing, the user needs to plug in the USB disk and then Select the file from Avision SSC’s screen and then the copier will generate payment QR code for users to confirm the payment amount. After the payment is done, the printing is completed.
Avision claims the copier allows the user to copy or print at any time of the day and reduces administrative cost to handle payment problem. It also lets to pay online and to print directly from the portable devices like smartphone, tablet.
