Sony Announces Android OS Based Walkman in India

Sony India has announced the launch of the Android Walkman NW-A105. It is the company’s latest addition to the iconic Walkman Series.

“With this launch, Sony intends to take you on a trip down memory lane alongside innovation and commitment to offer best-in-class audio experience,” read Sony India’s official statement.

The company has priced this walkman at Rs 23,990. It is retailing the same through Sony Centers, electronic-stores and e-commerce websites here.

The new Sony NW-A105 Android 9.0 Walkman features a 3.6 inch HD display. “Supported with Wi-Fi, the new NW-A105 Walkman grants you access to millions of songs at your fingertips. Stream your favourite tracks online or download directly on NW-A105 Walkman to make it a perfect travel partner for journeys where there is no Wi-Fi connection,” read Sony India’s official statement.

The company has equipped it with a battery that can power it for 26 hours. It also features NFC connection. Sony NW-A105 Walkman comes with a built-in memory of 16GB which can further be expanded up to 128GB. The NW-A105 features a USB Type-C port for fast charging.

Enjoy all the subtleties in your music with the S-Master HX digital amplifier, which delivers High-Resolution Audio in maximum quality, with reduced distortion and noise,” read Sony’s official statement.

It supports MP3, WMA , WAV, AAC, FLAC and DSD playback formats. The list of wireless audio formats it supports includes SBC, LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, AAC.
