After launching the Amazefit GTS smartwatch with the Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 3 in China in August earlier this year, Huami is likely to launch the Amazfit GTS in India soon. Huami sells the watch at RMB 899 (approx Rs 9000) in China. It is likely that the smartwatch will be available at a similar price range in India.
Amazon India has come up with a page which indicates that the product may be launched in India soon. Amazon has also come up with a “Notify me” option on the page teasing the launch of the smartwatch. The page does not reveal the exact date of the launch of the product, but it is expected that the smartwatch will be launched before Diwali.
Gorilla Glass 3 protection
The Amazfit GTS will come equipped with a 1.65-inch square AMOLED display with a resolution of 348 x 442 pixels, 341ppi pixel density and corning Gorilla glass 3 protection. Huami will sell the phone in black and grey coloured case with six different bands. The watch has an aluminium alloy body.
The Amazon page put up indicates that the Amazfit GTS comes with a 12-sport mode tracking alongside sleep and activity tracking. The watch comes with power biotracker PPG sensor, a barometer, ambient light sensor, a six-Axis accelerometer and 3 Axial geomagnetic sensors.
Comes with up to 14 days battery life on default usage
The soon to be launched product also supports Android 5 and iOS10 or higher. The company says that the watch is equipped with a 220mAh battery which can last up to 14 days on default usage. The battery can last 25 hours on continuous GPS tracking and up to 46 days in basic watch mode.
The device also comes with features Bluetooth 5.0 LE, NFC, GPS and Globalnaya Navigazionnaya Sputnikovaya Sistema, or Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS). The watch also comes with 5ATM (50m) water resistance, ideal for swimming and light snorkelling says the company.
