According to a report by GizmoChina, Xiaomi and Huawei will reportedly use foldable smartphone panels from Samsung Display this year.
The report also noted that Xiaomi had recently patented a pull-out phone with a sidebar. The patent was approved and published on December 6, 2019, and it may use foldable smartphone panels from Samsung Display.
As per a recent report by Tiger Mobiles, Xiaomi has revealed that it is working to bring a foldable phone soon. The company also released a video showing the prototype of the Xiaomi foldable phone.

Also, Huawei is all set to launch its another foldable smartphone Mate X2 in Q3 2020. The device is likely to be powered by the upcoming Kirin 1000 processor.
Recently, Faisal Kawoosa, founder & chief analyst of techARC noted that two F’s of Five (5)G and Foldable Smartphones will excite the entire value chain including the end-users in 2020.
He added that 2020 is going to be one of a kind year where smartphone brands will have to maneuver the current potential with the future opportunities and balancing between the two will be key to their success.
