Transsion Holdings will be entering the consumer durable segment in India with Syinix brand. In an interview given to Ians, Transsion Holdings India CEO said the brand is all set to launch TVs, washing machines, ACs, refrigerators and other consumer durables in the country.
The company, in May this year, had announced that it will be bringing Syinix in India. The interview published by the news agency claims that Syinix has already launched a 32-inch LED TV and a 40-inch smart TV under testing phase in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Arijeet Talapatra, CEO of Transsion India, termed initial results of the testing phase in two states to be good. He confirmed that the brand is also planning to launch 49-inch and 55-inch smart 4K UHD TVs in the country.
Focus on tier-2, 3, 4, 5, 6 markets
The brand’s aim is to focus on tier-2, 3, 4, 5, and tier 6 cities. Transsion Holdings also plans to open a research and development centre in India in 2019.

Talapatra, referring to company’s manufacturing factory located in Noida, mentioned India as one of the key markets for Transsion Holdings. He pointed out that the company will be 100 per cent CKD (completely-knocked-down) by 2019.
Transsion Holdings sells mobiles phones in sub-Rs 6,000 market through itel brand. Tecno brand offers mobile phones in Rs 6,000 to Rs 14,000 market. Infinix smartphones, another brand owned by Transsion Holdings, sells smartphones in the Rs 6,000 to Rs 20,000 category.
