On Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, Oppo unveiled the Find N, the company’s first folding phone, at its annual Inno Day event in China. Expectedly, the business claims that it is a more durable and functional folding phone than anything already available. Oppo claims that the product took four years of extensive R&D and six generations of prototypes to develop, resulting in a product that appears to address nearly all of the fundamental flaws that persist in current-generation foldables.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip is combined with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS3.1 storage on the Find N, as well as a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast wired and 15W wireless charging. There’s also capability for 10W reverse wireless charging.
The Find N sports a 50MP Sony IMX 766 primary sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide lens sensor, and another 13MP sensor behind a telephoto lens for photography. On both the inner and outside displays, there are two more selfie cameras.
Dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics complete the package.
The 7.1-inch inner screen has an aspect ratio of 8.4:9. The cover has a 5.49-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Oppo uses an LTPO display on the inner screen, similar to the Fold 3, with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It has a sampling rate of up to 1,000Hz when touched. Both screens are capable of pulling 1,000 nits.
Oppo has released the Find N for CNY 7,699 as a starting price (roughly Rs 92,300). Starting December 23, it will only be available in China.
