Realme Launches Two New Smartphones in India

Realme has launched Realme X and Realme 3i smartphones in India. While the former, priced starting from Rs 16,999, is company’s first flagship smartphones, the Realme 3i has been introduced at starting prices of Rs 7,999.

We are also delivering the most cutting-edge technology in the sub-9k category with the launch of realme 3i, ensuring that first-time smartphone buyers and mass consumers across India have access to best-in-class features and innovations.”

Qualcomm 10nm Snapdragon 710 processor in Realme X

Built on Qualcomm’s 10nm Snapdragon 710 processor, realme X employs the Kryo eight-core architecture, achieving a clock speed of up to 2.2GHz. It comes mated to an Adreno 616 GPU and Snapdragon X15 modem. The 14-bit Qualcomm Spectra 250 ISP, as per the company, supports still-image capture of up to 32MP and video capture in Ultra HD 4K. Realme is retailing this smartphone in 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 8GB RAM + 128 GB ROM variants.

Realme’s official statement read, “The LPDDR4X enables a 15 per cent performance boost at 17% less power consumption while minimizing the size of the storage device; this translates into an excellent cost-performance ratio. It also features UFS 2.1, the current cutting-edge of ROM technology, to offers lightning-fast speed and 35% less power consumption than the traditional EMMC solution. As a result of these innovative technologies, realme X ensures smoother device usage and casual switching between apps, regardless of how many apps are running at the same time.”

Realme X features a 6.53-inch screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. This latest smartphone by BBK owned company supports VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge. Realme X’s dual rear camera setup at the back is designed on Sony’s flagship image sensor IMX586 with a 48MP pixel resolution. The front 16MP pop-up super selfie camera comes with an f/2.0 aperture and Sony IMX471 image sensor.

“In addition to the theater and home, Dolby Atmos transforms the way you experience audio on mobile, enabling immersive and spectacular experiences on the go. The Dolby Atmos on realme X will enhance content on popular mobile applications & will turn the smartphone into an entertainment hub,” said Ashim Mathur, senior regional director marketing, Dolby Laboratories.

Realme 3i features

Based on a 12nm architecture that delivers performance comparable to 10nm chipsets, Helio P60, as per the company brings a significant improvement in realme 3i by making sure that the power consumption drops by 15 per cent, thus resulting in better performance and user experience.

Company’s official statement read, “The CorePilot 4.0 installed in the realme 3i ensures smooth task scheduling through effective hardware resource management. This enables the device to run smoothly with less power consumption. Realme 3i also comes equipped with a 4230mAh ultra-large battery that makes it superior to other models in this price range. The in-built AI Power Monster also freezes background applications to make sure that energy is allocated primarily to critical tasks.”

It continued, “Coming with a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup, realme 3i also employs an AI self-learning feature that learns the usual edit patterns of the user by itself and helps them in capturing better photographs more quickly. Equipped with advanced features such as multi-frame synergy and the anti-shake algorithm, the Super Nightscape mode significantly helps in capturing detailed and quality pictures even in dim light.”
