Realme has announced the launch of its latest Realme 3 Pro smartphone in India. Launched as a smartphone in the Realme 3 Series, the smartphone comes equipped with Snapdragon 710 AIE processor. China-based Realme will be retailing the smartphone in 4GB and 6GB RAM options.
Madhav Sheth, Realme CEO, India, tweeted, “The wait is over! Presenting Rm3pro: Snapdragon 710 AIE processor, VOOC flash charge 3.0 with charger, 960fps Super Slo-mo, 16+5MP Dual rear camera with Sony IMX 519 flagship grade sensor and many more features. First Sale on 29th April. Keep your R-Pass ready.”
A report by Counterpoint Research had said that Xiaomi and Realme were among the top three brands to rule Diwali festive sales, last year, in India.
48 MP vs 64 MP Ultra HD Mode
Xiaomi Note 7 Pro, Realme 3 Pro competitor, features a 48 MP Mode on its rear camera. Interestingly Madhav Sheth had taken a dig at the 48 MP phones in the past.
He had tweeted, “Madhav’s exact tweet read, “Just took some sample shot. One is taken by a 48 MP camera but actually 12 MP by default with due respect has been in news recently. The other one is taken by a 13MP Realme camera. Can you spot the differences? Is it hardware or software optimised.”
Sheth had also posted a pic on Twitter comparing pictures shot on a 48 MP camera and a 13 MP camera. The tweet had come around at a time when China-based Xiaomi was gearing up to launch its Redmi Note 7 series in the country.
Both Xiaomi and Realme were introduced as online first brands in India. Xiaomi has already announced opening of more than 500 Mi Stores, whereas Realme is also working on its offline expansion in India.
Realme 3 Pro features
Realme 3 Pro comes equipped with Snapdragon 710 AIE processor. The company said it will retail the 4GB variant for Rs 13,999 and the 6GB RAM variant at Rs 16,999 in India. The Snapdragon 710 AIE processor, in this latest Realme smartphone comes mated to Adreno 616 GPU.
The waterdrop notch 6.3-inch (16.002cm) display equipped on the Realme 3 Pro is an IPS LCD. This screen offers a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels in 19.5:9 aspect ratio with pixel density of 409ppi. This display also features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Realme 3 camera setup is equipped with a combination of 16MP and 5MP sensors. On the front, the phone is equipped with a 25 MP senor. The Realme 3 Pro is powered by 4045mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging. Realme is also offering a 20W charger with every shipment.
