Amazon has launched its new Fire HD 10 tablet and the Kindle Kids edition e-reader and Fire HD 10 Kids edition tablet in the US. As of now, it is not clear when these products will be launched in India. Amazon will sell the tablet at $149.99 (approx. Rs. 10,650 and will be made available for pre-order from eighth October in the US and shipping will start from 30Th October.
According to Amazon, the Fire HD 10 tablet is equipped with a 25.65 cm (10.1-inch) widescreen 1080p full-HD display. It also comes with a 2GHz octa-core processor and 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 512GB with micro SD.

Comes with built-in Alexa
Amazon claims that the tablet will offer up to 12 hours of mixed-use battery life. It comes with built-in Alexa and Amazon-exclusive features such as ASAP, For You, X-Ray, Second Screen, Family Library, Blue Shade and picture in picture support. The tablet is also equipped with HD 720p front-facing camera and Alexa Communications.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids edition has similar features as the Fire HD 10 but it also has a year of Amazon freetime unlimited and a kid proof case with adjustable stand in blue, pink and purple colours. Amazon will sell this tablet at $199.99 (approx. Rs. 14,200).
Adjustable front light to read anywhere
Amazon says Kindle Kids edition comes with “A six-inch, 167 ppi e-ink display with an adjustable front light. Kindle Kids Edition makes it comfortable to read in a variety of places—whether outside in the sun or bedtime at night. Plus, with a battery that lasts weeks, not days, kids can enjoy reading as long as they like and parents can leave the charger at home.” Amazon will sell the Kindle kids edition at $109.99 (approx. Rs. 7,800) in the US.
