The Huawei Honor View 20 smartphone may be the first to get all the new technologies on-board. The brand has also announced its official entry into the Hong Kong market with Honor 10 smartphone as its first model.

Smartphone brand HONOR has introduced three new technologies to the world. Claimed to be ‘world’s first’ by the brand, these three technologies include ’48 mega pixel rear camera’, the ‘Honor all-view display’ and the ‘link turbo’. The Huawei Honor View 20 smartphone may be the first to get all three technologies on-board.
Interestingly, Xiaomi’s President had teased Mi’s upcoming phone with a 48 MP camera on his Weibo account recently. His post read, “Tried for a few weeks, not bad! Releasing in January.” But Honor has taken the fight one step forward by sharing pictures taken using the 48 MP camera.
Slated for December 27 launch in China, the Huawei Honor V20 will be unveiled in Paris on January 22, 2019. A website named Mr Phone reported that the Honor View 20 might cost Rs 29,000 (2,799 Yuan). The rumored cost, if found out to be true, may help the brand in winning a major share in the flagship smartphone segment currently ruled by OnePlus in India.
Industry-first 48MP rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor
The industry-first 48MP rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor will be available soon on the upcoming HONOR View20. The company claims that the camera is the first to make possible high-definition 48 effective megapixels photography on a smartphone, delivering top quality images with more and better details even when zoomed in.
Honor’s official statement on its website reads, “The technology, coupled with the AI computing power and graphic processing power enabled by the dual-ISP and dual-NPU of Kirin 980 chipset, will automatically perform multi-frame image processing, allowing the users to collate the essence in multiple photos taken by the 48MP camera and create a 48 MP AI high-definition image. HONOR provides users with unmatched photo quality and clarity, rivaling high-end single-lens reflex cameras.”
World’s first in-screen front camera design
This world-first, in-screen front camera design, as per the company was achieved by an extremely complex 18-layer technology stack that carefully embeds the front camera in the display area of the screen and extends the display area to almost 100 per cent. The Honor all view display solution demonstrates and takes the evolution of the full-view display, all the way from the 18:9 bezel-less screen of the 1.0 era through the notched screen of the 2.0 era, to the revolutionary 3.0 era.
Link Turbo AI
Honor claims to have redefined the smartphone experience with the launch of Link Turbo. The ‘Link Turbo’ technology leverages AI and big data technologies to automatically analyze users’ usage models and network conditions to switch seamlessly between Wi-Fi or 4G networks. It then boosts downloading speeds by simultaneously adopting both networks.
Honor has also announced its official entry into the Hong Kong market. The brand has entered Hong Kong with Honor 10 smartphone as its first model.
