PTron to Expand Network with Entry in Offline Market


The company has spent Rs. 2 crores for supporting their retail partners through marketing activities and brand building in order to boost their sales

PTron – a mobile accessories brand, has announced to take the brand into the offline market. Following this announcement, the company has appointed Playtime Electronics as the brand’s sixth lead distributor in India, covering Telengana/Hyderabad region. Until now, the company was functioning through its online market only.

Spreading across India

Besides Telengana/Hyderabad, the remaining five distributors of PTron are situated in Chennai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Pune and New Delhi. In a span of six months, the brand has invited more than 40 distributors for their products and has enlarged its reach in 12 states of the country.

Aiming to go ‘big’ in retail and distributors’ markets

In the current scenario, PTron’s distribution channel can cater to more than 700 offline stores and sell 15,000 products each month. Keeping the new plan in mind, the brand intends to build a network of 120 distributors and sell 50,000 products per month.

Also, this offline channel includes many modern trade mobile retailers like Cell Point that have already begun to sell PTron items at their counters.

Invested Rs. 3 crores for inventory buildup

PTron has invested approximately Rs. 3 crores for inventory buildup and keep it restocked as and when needed in order to establish and enhance a strong distribution channel.

Additionally, Rs. 2 crores have separately been assigned to support the retail partners via brand building and marketing activities.

PTron’s range of mobile accessories is diverse and the brand has added many new products in categories such as chargers, wearables and Bluetooth products and audio. The brand has already delivered more than 5 million products to its valued customers over several online portals.

Backed by its design team, PTron has also filed for 3 functional patents. In fact, with the success of online sales, the company is now aiming to expand its reach and take their products international.
