Jos Butler at the Oppo Shot Maker Campaign

Oppo, a smartphone brand by China-based BBK, has launched Shot Maker Campaign themed around the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The company, on the sidelines of the campaign has also launched its Reno Series smartphones in the United Kingdom market. The company has collaborated with England cricketer Jos Butler for this campaign.

Jos Buttler brings all those values to life in the way he plays the game so, as the ultimate Shot Maker, we’re delighted to partner with him on this campaign. Off the pitch, we hope global consumers are inspired, through their passion for cricket, to participate in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 with OPPO. The Reno 10x Zoom smartphone is the perfect way to capture the very best moments at the ICC Cricket World Cup, enabling every consumer to become a Shot Maker.”

He added, “The ICC Cricket World Cup is one of the most watched sporting events in the world, and the adventurous and fearless spirit of the tournament’s star players is highly compatible with Oppo’s technological and aesthetic pursuits.”

Oppo’s big-spending marketing spree

Interestingly, this is not the fist time that Oppo has announced a big promotional campaign. It is the official sponsor of India cricket team and holds rights to their official jerseys. The company had recently released a song themed around the ongoing cricket world cup for Indian fans here.

Charles Wong, CEO, Oppo India had said, “Our experience in India has given us a deep understanding of the passion every Indian possesses for cricket. Therefore, we wanted to create a property that will help us connect the fans with Team India and inspire them to continue their winning streak. We hope that our heartbeat song resonates with the emotion of the billions of fans around the world and charges Team India to victory.”

The company is also associated with Wimbledon and Roland Garros tennis tournaments as a sponsor. It is also to be noted here that Vivo, BBK’s other smartphone brand, is the official sponsor of Indian Premier League. BBK owns Oneplus and Iqoo smartphone brands as well.

Launch of Reno series in UK

Oppo has launched both the Reno 10x Zoom and the Reno 5G, in collaboration with the UK’s leading carrier EE, in UK. Both the Reno 10x Zoom and Reno 5G are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 platform and Oppo’s 10x hybrid zoom technology. The compnay is already retailing Find X and RX17 Pro smartphones in the country.

Whether they are watching high definition video, trying out AR experiences or gaming with their friends, the Reno 5G will let them tap into the game-changing speeds and connectivity that 5G will bring.”
